• Pregnancy Pilates Group Class

Pilates during pregnancy is a very effective way to continue exercising through to labour. Pilates focuses on breathing, gentle movements, maintaining good posture and flexibility which helps maintain your body and prepares you for labour. We can do an initial 1:1 assessment and take a medical history and we then assess your level and can either design you a home programme, or you can join in a suitable group class. All Pilates classes are run by Physiotherapists trained in APPI Pilates.

During these classes we take you through a routine involving mobility, control of movements, gentle strength work and relaxation breathing. The classes are designed to allow for your stage of pregnancy, and instructors are fully qualified so are aware of medical issues and exercise.
